and和or的用法区别

and和or这两个词都含有“和”的意思。它们的区别是：  

1、and的主要用法有：
①表示并列或对称关系，通常用于肯定句中。如：  

The girl is clever and lovely.

这个女孩既聪明又可爱。  

The little boy can read and write.

这个小男孩能读会写。  

②将go,come,try等动词和另一个动词连接起来，表示目的。如 

Go and tell him how to do it.

去告诉他该怎么做。  

Come and see me tomorrow afternoon.

明天下午来看我。  

③连接两个相同的词，表示反复、连续等意义。如 

The two friends talked and talked.

这两位朋友谈了又谈 

It' s getting warmer and warmer.

天气变得越来越暖和了 

④用在“祈使句+and+简单句”句型中，祈使句相当于一个肯定条件句  and之后的简单句表示结果。如：
Go straight on along the road and you'll see the video shop on the left  

沿着这条路一直往前走，你就会在路的左边看到这家音像店。
⑤and连接两个或两个以上的人或物作主语时，其谓语动词要用复数形式
Tom and Jack are going to the cinema.

2、or的用法主要有
①表示选择关系，意为“或  或者通常用于疑间句或否定句中。
如: 
Which do  you prefer, sweet or salty?
你喜欢哪一种，甜的还是咸的?
He has no brothers or sisters.他没有兄弟姐妹
②用在“祈使句+0r+简单句”句型中，意思是“否则"、“要不然”常与else连用，祈使句相当于一个否定条件句。如：
Work hard, or you 'll fail in the exam
(If you dont work hard, you'll fail in the exam.)  

努力学习，否则你考试将会不及格 

③or连接的短语作主语时，其谓语动词的数由最靠近它的那个名词或代词来决定。

如：  Professor Wang or I am to go to your school.

王教授或我将要去你们学校。  

④在否定句中，并列成分的列举通常用or,构成完全否定，意为“也不”。
It has no feet or legs, but it can go all day and all night
它既没有脚，也没有腿，但它可以夜以继日地行走。
The elephant isn't like a wall, or a spear, or a snake, or a tree; neither is he like a fan.  

这头大象既不像一堵墙，也不像一支梭镖、一条蛇、一棵树，更不像一把扇子。
